   i dont think it was a smart move

   No I think it’s going to be the downfall of Merck. I can easily see it being a couple BILLION dollars in damages. They might think they have a better chance at disproving each of the claims or at least one of them. Also they could drag these suits out for YEARS. And not take that big of a hit in the pocketbook.
