    The main one: rofecoxib (chemical name 4-[4-(methylsulfonyl)phenyl]-3-phenyl-2(5H)-furanone). It is a COX-2 inhibitor (short for cyclooxygenase inhibitor) that is in the class of NSAIDS (non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug). It did more than they wanted it to (bad side effects).
