does vioxx pay total amount at once?

my lawyer firm is from NY and they told me that i would recieve 750,000 and that everything should be done by the end of summer and i would recieve my amount.Now i was told by a relative that it won”t be paid in one lump sum.So could someone tell me if thats so.
